The Newtown Kennel Club, a member of the AKC, holds general meetings several times each year, sponsors all-breed conformation, obedience and rally shows, and holds various other dog-related events and training classes.
Training classes in both breed handling and obedience are held at Edmond Town Hall on route 25 just north of the flagpole in Newtown, Connecticut.
Health clinics are held every July, allowing owners a chance to test their dogs for inherited health problems and perform general well-dog examinations. Services include heartworm exams, microchipping and more.
